The New 7 Wonders' is a foundation which was established by Bernard Weber in the year 2001. It organizes various campaigns and competitions for the purpose of aiding and promoting the acknowledgement and recognition of natural and man-made beauties.
The importance of such campaigns organised by 'The New 7 Wonders' are evidenced by the fact that over 100 million people casted their votes in 2007, on a ballot where people were given the opportunity to vote for the locations and landmarks in the world they considered to be the one of seven world wonders. It is worth noting that in the poll, Hagia Sofia (in Istanbul) was voted as one of the 21 finalists.
The Cappadocia (Kapadokya) Region, that has become infamous for its capped earth pillars, has been nominated as a candidate for the poll which began in 2008. We wish you attend to take part in the voting so as to chose Cappadocia (Kapadokya) as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
The voting will continue until the 7th of June 2009, with 21 candidates being chosen for quarter-final, at which point further information regarding the voting process will be announced on the 21st of June 2009.
